The launching of Squad Talk
Welcome to OffHand Gear Squad Talk
OffHand Gear is proud to present “Squad Talk”, our new
initiative to get the word out about women’s shooting sports. It’s not going to
be a daily blog, but it’s going to give you all of the technical details you
need to hit the field or the range with beautiful confidence that only badass
women can exude. You know what else it’s about? You. That’s right, Squad Talk
is about you and was created for you! You’re going to be the driving force behind
our display of epic badassery, whether you’re just the feminine inspiration we
need, a guest blogger or contributing your own ideas and experiences to share
with our Squad.
Our goal? To give women everywhere, no matter where they are in
their firearms journey, the chance to dive into the gun industry and become a
huge part of it. That’s right, we aim to give you a voice, to take in all of
your ideas, and your suggestions of how products in this industry can benefit
your life, and make it easier (I have a ton of killer ideas, but I want to hear
what YOU can really use). As we continue to share more over time, we’re going
to be noticed, our voice is going to be heard, and we can really work to steer
the female side of the gun industry. In Squad Talk, you can comment on
articles, submit questions, concerns, and even share your own experiences. You
never know, you might just be the voice of reason, or you might even affirm
what we’ve all been thinking. We may even want to use your words to help
further the industry (with your permission, of course).

I am really impressed you are trying to get the word out to women shooters everywhere. I joined a women's shooting league 4 years ago and it wasn't long before that group disbanded. Then a new and different group started and it, too, disbanded. Then I found A Girl and A Gun chapter! Now there are two chapters in my area. They meet on alternating weeks so I get range time and friendship time every week! This new group has provided me with opportunities to learn new skills and attend special training sessions. Each me,bear of the chapters are the most supportive women I've have ever encountered. I am a CCW permit holder and have become much more confident in carrying everyday.

P.S. I am a 70 year old woman and proof that there is no age limit to being able to defend yourself and learn to handle a gun safely and with confidence!

ReplyDeleteThe National Rifle Association offers a similar set of guidelines: Keep the gun directed in a safe path. ALWAYS keep your little finger off the trigger until ready to shoot. OFTEN keep the gun not loaded until all set to use.
